Following the great success and inspiration of the 10th Asia Pacific Wrist Association Annual Congress held in India on 2025, it is my profound honor to invite you to the 11th APWA Annual Congress, to be held on November 12-13, 2026, in the historic city of Kyoto, Japan.

The 2026 congress will be organized in partnership with the Japanese Wrist Surgery Workshop (JWSW), bringing together leading experts, dedicated clinicians, researchers, hand therapists, and emerging talents from across the Asia Pacific region. Our shared aim is to create a meeting that not only deepens scientific knowledge but also strengthens the bonds that unite our wrist surgery community.

The theme of APWA 2026 is “鑑往知来— Learning from the Past to Inspire the Future.”

This phrase reflects our commitment to preserving and refining the techniques passed down through generations, advancing innovation, and ensuring that the next generation of hand and wrist surgeons inherits a strong, vibrant, and forward-looking foundation.

Throughout the congress, we will explore the full spectrum of wrist surgery from foundational principles to state-of-the-art advancements—while emphasizing education, collaboration, and the cultivation of young surgeons who will lead our field in the decades to come.
